Terms of Use

This is an English translation for convenience. The Czech version (Čeština above) is the binding one; if the two differ, the Czech version prevails.

About these terms

These Terms govern your use of the members’ portal of VISION Dance Team(the “Club”) and your participation in its lessons, groups, camps and other events. By using your account, booking a lesson or registering for an event you agree to them. You can reach the Club at team@vision-danceteam.com.

The portal runs on a platform provided to the Club under a contract by Tomáš Kasalický, company ID (IČO) 14033917, registered at Mladotova 663/2, Kolovraty, 103 00 Praha 10, e-mail kasalicky@proton.me(the “Operator”). Lessons, groups and events are provided by the Club and its coaches, not by the Operator.

How personal data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

Your account

Accounts are personal and by invitation only. The Club decides who gets access and with which role. Don’t share your sign-in details; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your profile accurate and up to date. A child’s account is managed by their parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on the child’s behalf.

Tell the Club without undue delay if you suspect misuse of an account or a data leak.

Acceptable use and your content

Use the portal only for its purpose. Don’t load it with automated access, copy or bulk-download its data, get around its security, try to reach other members’ data, send unsolicited messages through it, or upload content that breaks the law or infringes others’ rights. What you see about other members in the portal is for organising training, not for sharing outside it. The Club may limit or remove access for conduct that breaks these Terms.

Content you upload (photos, diary videos, posts) stays yours. You allow the Club and the Operator to store and show it in the portal, only as far as needed to run it, and you confirm you have the right to share it.

Lessons

Private lessons are booked in the portal according to the coach’s availability. A booking is confirmed once the coach accepts or schedules it. The price is shown when you book and may differ by coach, lesson length and whether you are a team member or an external participant; a hall fee per participant may be added where stated. A couple lesson is split equally between the two dancers, each paying their half.

If you can’t come, cancel as early as possible. Cancelling less than 24 hours before the start is a late cancellation, and the coach may charge up to the full price; earlier cancellations are free. Rescheduling is possible subject to availability.

Groups, camps and events

Groups, workshops and camps have limited capacity; a place is confirmed when your registration is accepted and, where stated, paid. A full event may put you on a waitlist. The price covers what is described for the event; travel, accommodation and meals are not included unless stated.

The Club may change the schedule, coach, venue or price, or cancel an event, for example because of low numbers or circumstances outside its control. If it cancels, it offers a suitable alternative or refunds what you paid for that event.

Each camp shows its own cancellation tiers before you register: how much is refunded depending on how many days before the start you cancel. If your cancellation falls outside every tier, the fee is not refundable.

Payments

The portal doesn’t take card payments. You pay by bank transfer (the portal shows a QR Platba code and the account details), or in cash where an event says so. Payments go directly to the coach: for lessons and groups the coach who teaches them, for a camp the coach who organises it. After paying, tap “I’ve paid”; the coach confirms when the money arrives.

A lesson or group is due after it takes place; a camp is due when you register. Unpaid amounts trigger reminders (also to a child’s parent or guardian); please settle them without undue delay. Prices are in CZK or EUR as shown. Payment overviews in the portal are records, not tax documents.

Participation, health and safety

Dancing is a physical activity. You take part at your own risk and confirm you are fit to do so. Tell your coach about any injury or condition that may affect your training, and follow reasonable safety instructions.

Analysis and competition data

Analysis and the results pages are built from public ČSTS and WDSF data. Analysis is a pilot project: the figures, ratings and forecasts may be out of date or inaccurate, and they are for information only. They are not an official ranking and not a judgement of any dancer or judge. Neither the Club nor the Operator is liable for outages or errors in the federations’ systems.

National champions database

The list of Czech and Czechoslovak national champions in DanceSport available to members in the portal (the “Champions Database”) was compiled and verified by Tomáš Kasalický, who made a substantial investment in it and is its maker. It is protected by the sui generis database right under Section 88 et seq. of the Czech Copyright Act (Act No. 121/2000 Coll.).

You may only view the Champions Database within the portal. Extracting or re-using all or a substantial part of it, and repeated and systematic extraction of smaller parts (in particular by automated means), is prohibited without the maker’s prior written consent. Records may carry hidden marks that identify the source of a copy.

The platform and intellectual property

The platform, its source code, design and documentation are the Operator’s intellectual property. While you have an account you may use it for your activity in the Club; you get no other rights to it. The Operator develops the platform continuously and may change how it looks and works.

Personal data

The Club is the controller of your personal data. The Operator processes it as a processor under Article 28 GDPR, only on the Club’s instructions and under a data processing agreement with it. The Club’s data sits in a database kept separate from the other clubs on the platform. The Operator may use anonymised, aggregated usage figures (such as the number of bookings) to improve the platform; they never identify a person. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Availability and liability

The Operator aims to keep the portal running at all times, but availability is not guaranteed: it may be briefly unavailable for maintenance or an outage. Neither the Club nor the Operator is liable for outages of third-party services outside their control (hosting, e-mail, federation systems such as ČSTS), for indirect loss, or for the loss of personal belongings.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited (in particular for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for harm to a person’s natural rights), or your rights as a consumer.

Closing an account

You can ask the Club to close your account at any time; the Club may close it when your membership ends or for conduct that breaks these Terms. If the Club stops using the platform, the Operator hands the Club its data, which the Club then looks after, and deletes it from the platform within 60 days. It is gone from backups no more than 30 days after that.

Changes, language and governing law

The Club may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always here, with the “last updated” date above, and the Club lets members know about significant changes in the portal. Continuing to use the portal after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by Czech law. They are available in Czech and English; the English version is a translation, and if the two differ, the Czech version prevails.
